I've been reading the Twilight series. I finished the fourth book 4 days ago. They were interesting. I finished Women of Sand and Myrrh by Hanan al-Shaykh. I would have underlined the book title, but I can't figure out how. I think I'll start reading MOMO by Michael Ende.

I've was enjoying the feeling of life creeping by slow for the last week. But now I feel like I'm stuck in pause. Nowhere to go, nothing to discover, just work and sitting in my little room. I feel like I have to push to break even. I was up until 1 a.m. this morning cleaning my apartment kitchen because I thought it would break me out of limbo. My apartment smells better but I'm still on pause. I wrote a 2 page To Do list in my pocket moleskine journal and have been checking things off daily so I can prove I'm doing stuff. I'm not sure what the next step is.

Beginning September.

I dyed my hair last week. Today I got my usual cup of coffee from Magpies and paid a visit to Maria's Bookshop. I got a book about Finland and a blank book to write in. I've decided to fill it with poems. I've even christened it with a pasta sauce stain on the second page. I made an origami lotus flower. I'll upload a picture with this post.

I went to a nice dinner party on Saturday. I also went to a not so exciting kegger on Monday night. I took advantage of the books sales going on at the local thrift stores and got a huge pile for $1.00. I also found a backpack, a new scarf, and a 4 oz flask. I've been listening to a lot of trance music lately. I need to buy a stamp in the morning. I finished reading the book I bought in L.A. and discovered there is a second book in the series with book #3 being released in Sept. 2009. B told me he might be moving back to Longmont soon. I ran into an old friend on the street today. Lost his cell number but I'm sure we'll see each other again. My plan to read in the park this afternoon turned into reading in my room since the rain was cold and pouring down moderately. I enjoyed having a 3 day weekend but am not sure when my next day off is. I am enjoying my new job. I was walking home last night down main street and saw some new grafitti.

I've noticed the time posted for my blog entries is on pacific time and I'm not finding a way to change it.
